Another Yeasu HT with poor sound.Cons:————–1. Very Bad sound (Rx) : a) sound is worse than the FT-2D (FT2D sound is not good either). b) sound is extremely low even on Max volume on analogue ( AM and FM ). c) weak signals (analogue AM / FM ) will not be heard at all due to the extremely low volume ( even though the – receiver picks it up) d) bluetooth sound is very very low whether paired with a speaker or headphone.2. Small screen. ( vs. FT2D ) a) The screen layout is ” crowded ” b) No clock ( Time/Date ) display c) Signal meter is small and difficult to read ( no option for numbered symbol )Pros:————— 1. CAM – Club Activity Monitor 2. Bluetooth 3. Voice Recorder 4. Colour Screen 5. Faster GPS Acquisition ( vs. FT2D ) 6. Faster scanning speed ( vs. FT2D )

This is a very good radio for digital communications. It is loaded with features through its menus. The color display is very nice.

My first radio came defective, Gigaparts accepted the return and processed a refund so I could re-order. The new radio works perfectly. Thank you! Amazing receive and transmit quality. Great color screen. The only thing that stinks is the sound quality of the speaker. It’s terrible but you learn to deal with it. Digital sounds great though, weird…

Works pretty well, I use it on gmrs but even in the normal ham bands the power mosfets don’t hit 5 watts, I’ve found this to be common on theses newer radios, my ft65 will hold 4.5 watts from 430mhz all the way to 468mhz, this one no it falls to 2 watts at 467.7xx transmission on gmrs but it still gets the job done very well. Our repeater is about 60-80 air miles. It’s a beautiful radio and works amazing, wish they wouldnt lock us out the service menu

Good radio, works as advertised.Unfortunately, doesn’t work with my Cardosystems bluetooth headset.Online research shows, that it rarely works with third-party bluetooth headsets. For this money the value of the purchase is questionable.

A bit of a learning curve. Want another custom charging device for car. Have learned the top features I care about, but still want to learn the Fusion/WiresX functions. AM and FM broadcast receiver is good and in theory CB and air band AM signals can be received as well as shortwave AM broadcasts (but no SSB).

Bought it and tested on 2 watt meters….was getting 3.2 watts….. not even close to 5 watts….sent back
