After tense protests Monday afternoon, several hundred demonstrators gathered in downtown Kenosha in the evening, under the watch of cops in riot gear. As night fell, the crowd facing down Kenosha County sheriff’s officers at the courthouse grew more confrontational, heaving a barrage of water bottles, fireworks and other objects at the officers.
