Students are missing out on a lot during the coronavirus pandemic. To process their frustration, disappointment, confusion, and hope, some students are using a creative outlet.
“Nothing like this has happened in a hundred years, so a hundred [years of] seniors got to do what they’re supposed to do. And we don’t,” said Cassandra Rio, a senior in Georgetown, Mass. who recently shared an essay with Boston.com about ending her high school career during a pandemic.
Boston.com wants to share the creativity of students during the stay-at-home advisory. Have you started painting, crafted a poem, or composed a song inspired by your experience during the pandemic? Have you polished your skills in video editing or photography, or learned how to cross stitch? Share your creations with us.
Interested students can submit their audio, visual, or written work to [email protected]. Please include your full name, grade level, and school name, as well as a short description of your work. Other details about your current experience are also welcome.
