San Jose grocery store closes after employee dies of coronavirus. A FoodMaxx has been temporarily closed for sanitizing after managers learned that an employee had died of COVID-19. The employee had last been in the store on March 6.

California restaurants now can sell alcoholic beverages to go. Restaurants that have remained open for takeout and delivery service can also sell beer, wine and premixed cocktails to go, as long as they’re securely packaged and sold with food. (Liquor stores remain open in the Bay Area. Denver’s stay-at-home order, which takes effect Tuesday, initially declared liquor and marijuana stores weren’t essential. That did not go well.)
