They said the company failed to put in place any plan, including an infectious disease preparedness plan, or “any basic infection prevention measures” in line with federal and state guidelines. Among other measures, they said the company also chose not to clean and disinfect the plant; to provide protective gear, such as masks, to employees; to take steps such as adding physical barriers or providing extra space for lunch to accommodate social distancing; nor to provide sanitizer, hand washing breaks or hot water for hand washing.
