In a memo on Sunday, the NBA reached out to team doctors and encouraged players who have recovered from coronavirus to consider donating their plasma to the project. The experimental therapy is meant to use antibodies in blood from recovered patients to try and combat the virus in sick patients, and pro basketball players might be especially useful as donors.
