The novel coronavirus is highly contagious and spreads very easily from person to person. New information has come out this week saying the virus may remain airborne for up to 4 hours. The virus can travel through the air in tiny respiratory droplets produced when an infected person coughs, sneezes, talks or just breathes. If a non-infected person inhales the same, “infected air” its possible to contract the virus.
The virus is also spread through surface contact, although this is easier to combat by practicing good hand-washing techniques and avoiding touching your face.
Due to the highly contagious nature of the virus it can propagate quickly throughout homes, hospitals, and other confined spaces.
