Richard Burr, after selling more than $600,000 of stock, co-wrote an op-ed on Feb. 7 claiming that “The United States today is better prepared than ever before to face emergency public health threats, like the coronavirus,” and Sen. Kelly Loeffler, who also sold off stock, tweeted on Feb. 28 that the Trump administration was “doing a great job working to keep Americans healthy & safe.”
