Six people shot at California house party during coronavirus lockdown 1

Six people were shot while attending a party in California early Saturday, despite the state’s stay-at-home order meant to curb the spread of the coronavirus, authorities said.

The shooting occurred shortly after midnight at an apartment complex in Bakersfield, according to Kern County Sheriff’s Lt. Cesa Ollague.

All six shooting victims, which included one juvenile and five adults, were hospitalized, but all are expected to survive, authorities said.

Partygoers told cops they saw four men leave the scene in a white car. It’s unclear if the suspects attended the party or fired from the car.

Investigators found 94 shell cases and three live rounds at the scene.

California on March 19 instituted a social distancing order that prohibits any nonessential gatherings.
