Is Rick Rubin guilty of being a beach bum?
The music mega-producer reportedly has been given a court date in Hawaii for allegedly violating local restrictions regarding the coronavirus outbreak.
Kauai newspaper The Garden Island reported that a trial date of Feb. 9, 2021, has been set in a case against Rubin for violating quarantine order for off-island visitors in September.
The outlet reported that Rubin was busted walking on an empty stretch of beach near where he was staying, after a local videotaped him at a time that the island had a mandatory two-week quarantine period for visitors.
He was also reportedly being trailed on the beach by a lone paparazzo, who also snapped shots of the music pro shirtless with board shorts and a long beard.
The outlet said it is not known whether Rubin will need to appear in court as part of the trial.
A rep for Rubin did not immediately get back to us.
