Portland protestor taunts officer: ‘I hope someone kills
your f**king family’ 1

PORTLAND, OR – Officers families are now under attack.  Where exactly are the “leaders” not?

On May 25, George Floyd was killed by Minneapolis Police Officers. Today is July 15.

This event spurred many protests that turned violent across the nation. Six weeks later Portland, OR is still experiencing chaos in its city.

It is approximately 1731 miles away from Minneapolis. 1731 miles is a long way from where one man was killed.

The Black Lives Matter (BLM) and Antifa protestors are really causing a mass of chaos for the city of Portland and their police. Over the weekend more chaos erupted in Portland as angry protestors rallied in the streets looking to drain the city of its resources.

Tensions increased early Sunday, July 12, when a BLM protestor was caught on camera flinging obscenities at city, local, county, and federal authorities who were clearing the area.

One woman became irate as officers tried to clear the streets. She shouted:

“Fuck off, you bitch. I’m disabled, I can’t walk.”

As she started walking the same pace as the officers she coolly said:

“I hope someone kills your whole fucking family.”

The woman looked like she was having a good time commenting with vulgarities toward the officers. She had a big grin on her face. The video shows that the woman was only pushed or shoved and did not appear to suffer any injuries. The Police continue to announce commands over the PA System.

Over the past six weeks angry protestors have attempted to set the precinct and town square ablaze causing chaos throughout the city.

Antifa had attempted to take over 3rd street the night before and set buildings on fire. In one instance protestors attempted to throw baseball sized rocks at police as well as commercial-grade fireworks. They even launched mortars at the federal buildings.

On Monday morning, July 13, officers attempted to clear out and secure downtown Portland around the Justice Center. This area has been a target for demonstrator for the last several weeks.

The police attempted to keep the protestors from starting fires. Portland Police, reportedly told Breitbart News:

“Portland Police are securing the area new SW 3rd Ave and SW Main St because of a fire. Smoke is entering the Justice Center creating a hazard for all persons inside. Anyone in the area move now so members Portland Fire & Rescue may safely extinguish the fire. Move away now.”

The Portland Police tweeted this statement on their twitter feed.

Breitbart News reported that Portland businesses lost around $23 million since the last six weeks of violent civil unrest following the death of George Floyd on May 25.

Portland Police Bureau Deputy Chief Chris Davis commented:

“It is really unprecedented in Portland’s history. We are now in our sixth week of these events, and we’re always hopeful that we’re winding down. We’ve never seen this intensity of violent, focused criminal activity over this long of a period of time.”

These violent activities appear to be happening nightly since May 25. Federal Police have been called in to assist Portland Police Department. The Police are doing their best to maintain order but the Antifa BLM protestors are not backing down.

They are demanding change in policing tactics and maneuvers. The Portland Police Bureau are using tear gas and crowd control munitions to clear the area. A sound truck is announcing statements to clear the area but at times there has been no compliance.

This same group of protestors are hurling baseball-sized rocks and hurling fireworks at officers. A pocket-knife has even been thrown toward officers.

When and how will the chaos end in Portland? When and how will the chaos end in America?

Spouses of Portland police pen letter to officials: Stop pandering to criminals and let officers do their jobs

PORTLAND, OR – If you’ve been paying any attention at all, you’ve likely seen that Portland has seen some dangerous and unpleasant (to say the least) times for law enforcement.

Protests occur nightly, and have for over 40 nights.

Violence. Looting. Vandalism. Projectiles thrown at police.

Politicians throwing their officers under the bus, not allowing them to use the proper tools to get the crowd under control, then blaming them for not having control.

I live nearby and let me tell you…the Portland Police are having a rough time.

But you know who else is having a rough time?

The families of the police.

What follows is a letter to Portland politicians representing the thoughts, concerns, and feelings of over 100 Portland Police Bureau wives.

Enjoy.

Mayor Ted Wheeler
Commissioner Fritz
Commissioner Hardesty
Commissioner Eudaly

Mayor Ted Wheeler and Members of the City Council,

I am the spouse of a Portland Police Officer and I am writing on behalf of over one hundred other spouses of Portland Police Officers to express deep concern about the events in Portland over the past 46+ straight days.

For more than six weeks and with the full knowledge and participation of the city, protesters and rioters have descended on downtown Portland on a nightly basis.

The City of Portland has tied the hands of PPB officers, restricting their ability to properly defend themselves and enforce the law. City leadership is subjecting officers to routine verbal, emotional and physical abuse.

Officers hold the line while dangerous projectiles are launched at them including, but not limited to, commercial grade explosives, fireworks, rocks, bottles, bricks, batteries, blades, paintballs, bags of urine and feces, ball bearings launched with slingshots (which at high speeds can be deadly).

Several dozen officers have sustained injury.

Occupied police facilities have been barricaded and lit on fire in an attempt to murder police personnel and civilian employees. A federal law enforcement officer was recently hit in the head and shoulder with a 16-inch sledge hammer. High powered lasers have been pointed at officers, which can result in permanent eye damage.

During this COVID-19 pandemic, officers have been spit on, which poses a serious health concern.

Officers are forced to wait until an “adequate” amount of life-threatening actions have been directed at them before they can declare a riot or unlawful assembly and deploy crowd control munitions. Oregon state law allows any citizen to use a reasonable amount of force to protect themselves or a third party from bodily harm.

The city has restricted Portland Police use of force to the point of having LESS rights to self-defense than the average citizen.

The City of Portland issued 40 hours of bereavement to all municipal employees to mourn the death of George Floyd.

The city later sent a letter to those same employees in essence saying people of color should take first priority in the bereavement days because they are more deserving of time off and white employees should make accommodations to fill in for their Black colleagues while they are away.

Suggesting a particular group should receive preferential treatment based solely on the color of their skin is blatant racial discrimination.

Outside the besieged Justice Center, officers are met with messages saying they should die, rioters will “kiss their wives goodnight,” they are bastards, they are killers, they are racists, they are pigs, etc. The officers’ repeated and prolonged exposure to traumatic and stressful events under the scope of their employment is taking a major psychological toll and can lead to increased rates of PTSD.

LET Unity

The City Council’s anti-police rhetoric, particularly on the part of member Jo Ann Hardesty, vilifies and demoralizes PPB officers and contributes to a hostile work environment by its own city leadership.

As a result, Portland Police officers have become the targets of doxing attacks, in which their personal information is being shared on social media in a malicious manner.

The complete lack of respect, dehumanization and gross mischaracterization of the men and women behind the badge is disgraceful. These same men and women are members of the most progressive police department in the nation that agencies across the country attempt to emulate.

Not only are you failing PPB, but you are failing the city as a whole. You’ve allowed the disruption of daily life for tax paying, law-abiding citizens and business owners who’ve had to deal with constant harassment, loss of income, property damage, and an inability to safely enter or exit their homes and businesses.

The Portland Business Alliance estimates downtown businesses have lost more than $23 million and counting amid the riots.

Because you’ve allowed insurrection, lawlessness and anarchy to ensue for weeks, you’ve reduced the ability for officers to respond to emergency calls outside of the nightly rioting.

Since the riots began over a month ago, the entire PPB Detective Division has been pulled away from their investigation caseload to process the revolving door of nightly arrests.

Detectives have no time to process their stacks of cases, leaving victims of homicide, assault, rape, sexual assault, domestic violence, child abuse and robbery without the justice and police protection they deserve.

Shootings so far in July have increased by 380% compared to this time last year, yet Portland City Council voted to dissolve the Gun Violence Reduction Team.

Instead of acting to address the severe understaffing of your police department, Portland City Council has voted to defund $15 million from the police budget as an appeasement to the mob.

Various proposals by the city to further debilitate police officers are being advanced, proving city leadership is too anti-police to effectively govern.

Multnomah County’s policies of no bail/low bail releases are permitting rioters to return to engage in unlawful conduct again and again. Charges have been dropped and cases dismissed for those who have committed serious felony crimes including riot, arson and theft in the first degree.

Portland City Council needs to advocate for the prosecution to the fullest extent of the law of those responsible for these acts of violence.

Portland City Council is responsible for grave malfeasance. You’ve allowed violence to consume the city in the name of social justice. You continually allow criminals in the street to dictate public safety policy, you’ve caved to domestic terrorists and allowed your political agenda to supersede law.

The Families of Portland Police are calling on city leadership to allow PPB to do their jobs and restore order to the city. City leadership should also condemn the continued abuse and extensive harm against Portland Police Officers.

In the well-known quote by Martin Luther King, Jr. he states: “Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.” This is particularly applicable as your bias and prejudice against the police has allowed you to commit egregious injustices to officers and their families, to citizens and business owners.

As elected officials, you should be working to bridge communities not divide them for your own unilateral political agenda. We implore you to examine your own prejudices, microaggressions, aggressions, and bias as you continue to lead.

These are the beliefs and statements of family members. Officers have not had a part in this letter.
