Residents spotted the culprit, identified as Daniel Michelson, and chased him away — but not before he painted over Floyd’s eyes and mouth. In an interview with local news site, Minnesota Reformer, the 26-year-old, who is also a medical student, said he was drunk at the time and was not fully aware of what he was doing.
