It was a weekend full of “Ws” for Sophie Scott.
After the Patriots shut out the Falcons on Thursday, 25-0, the girlfriend of New England’s rookie quarterback, Mac Jones, took a “quick detour” to her alma mater, the University of Alabama. While in Tuscaloosa on Saturday, Scott watched her beloved Crimson Tide defeat the Arkansas Razorbacks, 42-35.
“Thursday night Patriots win to a Saturday Bama Win,” Scott shared Sunday on her Instagram Story.
Scott graduated from Alabama in December 2020 after two-and-a-half years. She celebrated her commencement at the time by watching Jones, then quarterback at Alabama, in action.

“Graduate at 12 and watch the end of the game at 12:30,” Scott quipped on Instagram last December.
Much has changed for both Jones, 23, and Scott over the past year. The couple, who has been dating since 2019, relocated to New England after the Patriots selected Jones No. 15 overall in the 2021 NFL Draft.

Jones helped lead the Patriots to their fifth straight win on Thursday, throwing for 207 yards with one touchdown and one interception. Through 11 games, Jones has logged 14 touchdowns and eight interceptions.
The Patriots (7-4) are now in first place in the AFC East following the Bills’ 41-15 loss to the Colts on Sunday. The Bills (6-4) are currently in second, followed by the Dolphins (4-7) and Jets (2-8).

Jones and the Patriots will face the Titans (8-3) this Sunday in Foxborough.
