Starting May 1, the island will be open to visitors until the end of October, and for the first time, will be serviced by two ferries operating out of Brooklyn Bridge Park’s Pier 6 and the Atlantic Basin in Red Hook, as well as the preexisting ferry service lower Manhattan.
