A Colorado father killed his wife, two of their children and himself at their home in El Paso County over the weekend in what investigators believe was a murder-suicide, authorities said Monday.

Christof Kreb, 55, is believed to have killed his wife, Yvette Siegert-Kreb, 50, and two of their children, Felicity Kreb, 13, and Barrett Kreb, 9, on Saturday, El Paso County sheriff’s Lt. Debora Mynatt said in a statement.

The family lived at 1350 Pleier Drive outside of Monument, property records show. Deputies were called to the home just after 10 a.m. Saturday for a report that someone there was seriously injured and needed help, Mynatt said.

When deputies arrived, they found all four family members dead. The cause and manner of their deaths has not been released.

Christof Kreb was president of Specialty Sports and Supply, a gun shop in Colorado Springs, according to business records kept by the Colorado Secretary of State’s Office, which show he was also the registered agent for the business.

A person who answered the phone at the shop on East Fountain Boulevard declined to comment Monday.

USA Shooting, a nonprofit organization headquartered in Colorado Springs that promotes shooting sports and works with Olympic and Paralympic athletes, featured Yvette Siegert-Kreb in a May 2020 newsletter.

The story, which focused on Yvette Siegert-Kreb’s mask-making during the pandemic and said she was a retired nurse, also said the family had eight children, five of whom were adopted. The newsletter said most family members were involved in competitive sport shooting and noted that two of the Krebs’ children had recently competed in Olympic air rifle and air pistol trials.

The newsletter post appeared to have been deleted Monday.
