“Just yesterday, we started bringing students back, so I told our community, ‘we live in northern Illinois, it’s wintertime, and school will be in session on Tuesday,’” said Abrell, noting that with most of the district’s students in pre-kindergarten through 12th grade learning online, there was no need to call a snow day.
