Coronavirus has now killed Americans in all 50 states 1

The coronavirus has now claimed a life in every US state as Wyoming on Monday reported its first known death from the illness, health officials said.

The man, described by the state’s Department of Health as having underlying health conditions, died last week at a hospital in Buffalo, Wyo.

Wyoming for nearly two weeks was the only US state without a known death attributed to the coronavirus. As of Monday night, the state reported 275 cases of the disease.

Nationwide, as of Monday night, there have been over 680,000 cases of coronavirus and 23,529 deaths, according to a running tally kept by Johns Hopkins University.

New York State has been ravaged by the coronavirus, with more than 10,000 deaths from the disease as of Monday morning.

But Gov. Andrew Cuomo, at a Monday press briefing, offered a glimmer of hope, saying the “worst is over” if social distancing and other preventative practices are still maintained throughout the state.
