A few days before one of the biggest home matches in club history, the Colorado Rapids revealed the first two games on their 2022 MLS regular-season schedule.
The Rapids will open the season with a trip to Banc of California Stadium to face Los Angeles FC on Saturday, Feb. 26, at 1:30 p.m., then return to Commerce City for their home opener against Atlanta United FC on Saturday, March 5, at 4 p.m. at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park.
The season opener is a rematch of the 2021 regular-season finale — a 5-2 win that shot the Rapids to the top of the Western Conference standings, and gave them a bye in the first round of the MLS Cup Playoffs.
With the first round now in the books, the Rapids are set to host Portland Timbers FC at 2:30 p.m. Thursday at DSGP in the conference semifinals. The playoff will be the first MLS match played on Thanksgiving Day.
