During the investigation, Cabrera allegedly “falsely claimed” that he was knocked to the ground during his confrontation with the victim, a version of events refuted by the victim and the woman, as well as a passerby walking their dog. The victim, though, was initially placed into custody because of Cabrera’s alleged false statements, but later released without charges.
