British PM Boris Johnson leaves ICU, remains in hospital with coronavirus 1

British Prime Minister Boris Johnson has been released from intensive care, but remains hospitalized in London on his fourth day battling the coronavirus, according to multiple reports.

“The Prime Minister has been moved this evening from intensive care back to the ward, where he will receive close monitoring during the early phase of his recovery,” a spokesman said on Thursday. “He is in extremely good spirits.”

Johnson, 55, is at London’s St. Thomas’ Hospital while the government is being run by Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab.

He has been sitting up in bed but could still be out of action for at least a month, according to reports.
