Another solid fit by Bill Belichick.
The Patriots head coach arrived to Bank of America stadium in a leggy pregame sweatsuit that went viral on Sunday.
Belichick, with his rolling suitcase in tow, wore a navy and grey Patriots sweatshirt, that featured his signature half sleeves. His navy sweatpants were rolled up to show his tall white socks and sneakers.
The 69-year-old — before New England’s 24-6 win over the Panthers — was filmed walking to the visitors’ locker room, sporting a serious face.
The internet and the NFL Network broadcast had fun with Belichick’s Week 9 fit.
“Well, Bill Belichick is a very unique coach, but here he proves he’s just like everyone else, puts his sweats on one pant leg at a time,” an anchor said on the Sunday broadcast.
One fan tweeted, “Bill Belichick looks like a guy who’s about to drop into 7-11 for a case of miller lite and two hot dogs before the game starts.”
Another Twitter user compared Belichick’s outfit to Agatha Trunchbull, the antagonist in the 1996 film, “Matilda.”
It’s not the first time Belichick has worn some, um, unique fashion to a game. Last year, he showed up to a weekday press conference wearing an old t-shirt with several holes in it.
