A Tennessee woman suffering from the coronavirus gave birth to her “miracle” baby while hooked up to a ventilator, according to a report.

Emily Brown said she didn’t learn about the birth of her baby boy until three weeks after he was born by emergency C-section, she told News Channel 9, an ABC News affiliate.

Brown was 31 weeks pregnant when she said she felt she couldn’t breathe, and was rushed to Erlanger Hospital suffering from COVID-19-related complications on Sept. 18. She was placed on a ventilator two days later, and on Sept. 24 gave birth to her son Tucker, who was placed in intensive care for six weeks, and was released from hospital at eight weeks old.

“It’s changed my perspective on life,” said Brown, who spent 20 days on a ventilator and underwent a tracheotomy — all without realizing that she had given birth to her baby. “It teaches you to live life to the fullest.”

Doctors called the birth and Brown’s recovery from the coronavirus “a miracle.”
