Rudy Giuliani is trending hard online after reports that he is one of the first celebrities to be unmasked on the upcoming season of The Masked Singer.
The reveal of the Donald Trump ally and former New York mayor prompted two of the judges to walk off stage while cameras were rolling, according to Deadline. The unmasking took place during filming for the first episode of Season 7.
The next season of the Fox show is due to begin on Wednesday, March 9. Ahead of the launch, here’s everything that reportedly went down between Giuliani and the judges on The Masked Singer.
Rudy Giuliani on ‘The Masked Singer’
Giuliani, a former Trump lawyer who helped his ex-client push the baseless claim that the 2020 presidential election was stolen, is thought to be one of the first contestants unmasked on Episode 1.
When he was revealed, judges Robin Thicke and Ken Jeong reportedly left the stage in protest. The other judges Jenny McCarthy and Nicole Scherzinger remained in place, and Thicke and Jeong eventually returned.
After Giuliani’s headpiece was removed and all the judges were back in their seats, normality resumed as the members of the panel bantered with him.
Deadline didn’t reveal which song Giuliani sang or what costume he was wearing. The theme for the new season is “The Good, the Bad and the Cuddly.”

Other Controversial Contestants
Giuliani, who has been subpoenaed by the House committee investigating the January 6 attack on the Capitol, won’t be the first Trump-supporting Republican to appear on The Masked Singer.
In Season 3, the Bear was unmasked as Sarah Palin, former governor of Alaska and GOP vice-presidential candidate—after she performed “Baby Got Back” by Sir Mix-a-Lot. The Masked Singer contestants have included dozens of singers, athletes, actors and other entertainers, but Palin and Giuliani are the only lawmakers to compete on the American show so far.
Season 7 of ‘The Masked Singer’
Continuing its tradition of airing two seasons a year, The Masked Singer is returning to Fox in March.
A preview video for Season 7 revealed six of the costumes that will appear in the new episodes. They include a royal frog and a bug (The Good), a troll and a knight with horns (The Bad), and a chipmunk and a lemur (The Cuddly). It’s not known if Giuliani is hiding beneath one of those costumes.
The Masked Singer returns to Fox on Wednesday, March 9.
