At the moment there is no vaccine or cure for the coronavirus, however people and companies from around the world are hard at work developing them.
The WHO director-general said Friday that, “More than 20 potential vaccines aimed at preventing coronavirus disease are in development around the world”. Most experts say it will take at least 12-18 months to develop and test any vaccines, any vaccine needs to prove it is effective and safe before getting approvals for distribution.
There are several treatments developed to heal or alleviate symptoms already undergoing clinical trials.
