Father’s stolen shield: The daughter of a slain NYPD detective is pleading for the return of a mini-replica of her dad’s detective shield stolen from her car earlier this month. In an interview with The News this week, Carla Caccavale expressed the sentimental importance behind the replica which she hopes the crooks will return. Caccavale’s father — a transit detective — died on duty when she was just 20 days old. “I felt really bad, being so upset about this in light of everything going on,” she said. “But for us, it is a really big deal.”
