PHILADELPHIA, PA – Authorities in Philadelphia are seeking two suspects who they say opened fire on police officers while they were conducting an undercover narcotics investigation.
While both suspects are currently at large, authorities have identified one allegedly involved.
Police are seeking the public’s assistance in locating 28-year-old Jeffione Thomas, who allegedly was involved in the Sept. 18 shooting of three plainclothes officers who were fired upon in the 1400 block of Sharpnack Street in the Cedarbrook neighborhood.
Jeffione Thomas – Philadelphia Police
According to officials, the officers were in an unmarked vehicle about 8 p.m. when a man, identified as Thomas, rode by the vehicle’s driver-side window.
When one of the officers rolled down the window to see if Thomas was OK, Thomas allegedly pulled out a gun and opened fire at the officers inside the unit.
The driver of the unmarked unit had pulled off on Sharpnack Street, past the intersection of 7700 Fayette St., when Thomas reportedly starting firing at the vehicle.
The officer driving the vehicle then crashed into a fence after being struck in the back by one of the rounds.
Luckily, the officer was wearing a bulletproof vest, which took the brunt of the bullet. The officers then exited the vehicle and all returned fire at Thomas. A second shooter appeared and started firing at the officers as well.
Both of the suspects reportedly fled the scene after the shooting.

A female officer who was seated in the rear passenger seat during the shooting suffered minor cuts to her left leg, possibly from crashing into the fence or broken glass. The officer was also treated at Einstein Medical Center and was reportedly stable. The third officer, a male, was in the front passenger seat and reportedly uninjured during the shooting and subsequent crash.

Meanwhile in Oregon, the feds are searching for an “ecoterrorist” on the loose. Here’s that report.
EUGENE, OR – Josephine Sunshine Overaker, an ecoterrorist arsonist vegan, is wanted by the FBI for acts of domestic terrorism.
On Jan. 16, 2006, Overaker was indicted on charges connected with activities as a member of the domestic terrorism groups the Earth Liberation Front (ELF) and the Animal Liberation Front (ALF).
It is believed she fled the United States and that she may be living in Spain. A $50,000 reward is offered for information leading to her arrest.
She is considered an escape risk.
[embedded content]Overaker was charged for her involvement in 17 incidents that collectively caused an estimated $48 million in damages.
One of the arson incidents, known as the Vail Ski Resort fire, caused $12 million in damages and is considered the most destructive act of eco-sabotage in U.S. history.
Please check out the FBI’s page on Overaker for information that can help in identifying her.

In 2018, The Oregonian reported on the arrest of one of Overaker’s accomplices, bringing to 11 the total number of arrests. Like Charles Manson’s criminal associates, this cell of 12 arsonists referred to themselves as “The Family.”
From their point of view, according to “family member” Jonathan Paul:
“None of the processes work…like the legal process, litigation. We compare ourselves to the underground railroad, to some guerrilla movements that are trying to free themselves from oppressive governments.”
In other words, if they can’t get what they want by legal means, they feel they are justified in using illegal means, even arson, to get what they want.
And what do they want?
“To protect the environment.”
To accomplish that goal, they have destroyed a ski lodge, horse corrals, a slaughterhouse, a car dealership, a power station and myriad other targets. In every example, the destroyed facility had to be restored, meaning that the eco-terrorists accomplished nothing more than frightening and antagonizing their victims.
To accomplish the restoration, economic damage had to be restored through insurance or other means. At the same time, to protect civilized humans from the predations of these malignant tumors on society, significant expenses were incurred related to the capture, prosecution and incarceration of members of the group. In other words, their value to society is less than zero.
All of the members of The Family who were ordered to serve time in prison have since been released. They have all been ordered to make restitution in amounts varying from just under $1 million to almost $18 million, depending on which fires each family member was connected with.
What are the chances that any of these misanthropes will ever be in a position to pay restitution?
Their skills range from computer software tester (Joseph Dibee); to masseuse, midwife, shepherd and firefighter (Overaker); to nanny (Rebecca Rubin); to terrorist (Stanislas G. Meyerhoff ); to marijuana grower and distributor (Nathan Block and Joyanna Zacher). If only there were some doctors or lawyers in the group, they’d have a chance at restitution.
The crimes with which The Family were charged date back as early as 1998. Their victims long ago had to solve the problems they had caused.
At the same time, the courts had to solve the problems posed by The Family by incarcerating them for terms that ranged between three years and one month to 13 years.

Their victims had to spend money, time, and effort through no fault of their own. Their insurance companies paid out money through no fault of their own. The taxpayers of Oregon had to pay for the capture, trials and incarceration of these individuals. Also, no fault of their own.
How is it that people like Overaker feel that they have the authority to break the law with impunity, harm their fellow citizens, destroy property and thwart law enforcement?
The thinking behind their reckless and dangerous acts is no different from what we see among protesters/rioters in liberal-run cities across America.
Those riots wouldn’t be possible without people like these.
They are so “desperate” for their cause to be successful that they will sacrifice their careers, forsake their families and compromise their integrity to achieve it. This is a very dangerous attitude to have and it is an attitude that must change.
Overaker must be caught and brought to justice. The same is true for every other criminal that is today making a mockery of the criminal justice system, committing crimes, getting arrested and then being released almost immediately.
If America is to remain a country of law and order, we must first re-establish the primacy of our laws by establishing order. Then and only then can we discuss the issues important to environmentalists and eco-terrorists.
Until then, their words are as empty and worthless as the destruction they have left in their wake.
