The Temptations rose to fame in the 1960s, long before Williamson joined, on the strength of hit songs such as “My Girl” and “Ain’t Too Proud to Beg.” The group has carried on with a number of different lineups over the years, with founding member Otis Williams continuing to perform in the latest iteration of The Temptations.
