Gov. Andrew Cuomo apparently took advantage of the Fourth of July holiday weekend and soaked up the sun — as he appeared super tan during his press conference Monday.
The 64-year-old governor sported a bronzed, sun-kissed glow as he gave a coronavirus press briefing in Manhattan.
Eagle-eyed Twitter users were quick to notice Cuomo’s darker shade of skin — and some were envious of his strong tan game.
“Wowzers…Cuomo needs to give me some of that tan Flushed face,” user @eseff tweeted.
Another Twitter user, @meaghanhopemc, wrote: “How does Cuomo, an employed New Yorker, have a better tan than me, an unemployed New Yorker.”
“New summer goal is to be as tan as Gov. Cuomo,” tweeted @skoogieee.
User @Professing_Prof wrote, “Cuomo is really tan today” and asked “Does he have a boat or something.”
“That isn’t the sort of tan you get from golfing,” the social media user said. “He looks good.”
The governor, a fan of fishing and motorcycling riding, celebrated Independence Day by washing his midnight blue Pontiac GTO in a pair of cargo pants and a T-shirt, according to a photo his posted to his Instagram.
“Happy Saturday,” Cuomo captioned the image with an American flag emoji.
New York City on Monday entered Phase Three of the state’s four-phase coronavirus reopening plan – where businesses like tanning salons, tattoo shops and spas are permitted to reopen. However indoor dining was excluded.
Long Island is set to enter Phase Four on Wednesday.
