The bar’s owner, Michael D’Esposito, said that after he was contacted by one of his customers who showed symptoms of COVID-19 on June 7, “We immediately decreased our staff on June 8, and then moved to completely shut down June 9,” he wrote in a statement. “We proactively arranged for our employees to be tested and disclosed our closure to the public.”
