The coronavirus global pandemic has affected many hard–very hard. Industries have ground to a screeching halt, and OnlyFans personalities have been hit as punters’ joblessness dries up subscriptions.
The 27-year-old OnlyFans influencer Billie Beever, who has over 100,000 Instagram followers, revealed that the coronavirus crisis has meant that she cannot pay off her rent.
According to The Daily Mail, in a now-deleted TikTok video, she poured her heart out to viewers, saying: “Everyone on TV is always talking about how everybody has lost their jobs and people can’t pay for anything anymore, but I’m losing subscribers on OnlyFans and that’s my main source of income.”
The influencer, who charges $12.99 per month, went onto say: “I can’t pay my rent, I can’t work. Even if I was to go back to work, what am I meant to do? Strip clubs are all closed, you can’t even be close to somebody because of social distancing.
“I have nothing else going for me, I have no other talent. I’ve got nothing else. I can’t dance, I can’t sing, I can’t do anything. I don’t understand what I’m supposed to do. I just want everything to go back to normal so people can keep subscribing.”
Beever joined the platform in 2019 after becoming a stay-at-home mother–despite the “slut-shaming” and stigma she has faced.
She signaled that the platform, where she performs strip shows and dances, is her sole source of income.
The coronavirus has negatively affected sex workers on every populated continent as thousands have sought government financial assistance amid a time where social distancing–and now, joblessness–has wiped out clienteles.
