An off-duty correction officer drunkenly crashed into a double-parked car — and was slashed in the face in retaliation, police said Thursday.
Shakiyl Melville, 30, was heading north on Mccombs Place in Harlem at about 9:45 p.m. on Wednesday when he smashed into the car, according to police.
An irate man, believed to be the car’s owner, responded by slashing Melville’s face, police said.
Melville was taken to Harlem Hospital, where he was treated for the cut and given a breathalyzer test that came back just over the legal limit, according to cops.
The corrections officer is facing a charge of drunk driving and his attacker remains at large.
