NYU Langone Health has opened a new medical facility in Bethpage.

The ambulatory care center includes 74 exam rooms and six procedure suites spanning the entire three-story, 54,000-square-foot building at 185 Central Ave., NYU Langone said in a statement. The facility, formerly the headquarters of King Kullen, is expected to serve about 500 people a day and offers on-site parking.

The health system said there will be 60 providers specializing in cardiology, gastroenterology, nephrology, neurology, orthopedics, primary care, pulmonology with a specialty in sleep disorders, rheumatology, surgical oncology through Perlmutter Cancer Center and urology. NYU Langone has moved five practices from nearby locations into the facility and brought in new providers, the health system said.

The facility also offers diagnostic services including X-rays, endoscopies, pulmonary function testing and noninvasive cardiac testing.

With the opening of the new center, which is expected to be fully operational next month, “our presence on Long Island continues to grow,” Andrew Rubin, senior vice president for clinical affairs and ambulatory care at NYU Langone, said in a statement. “In addition to Bethpage, we have more in store for the year ahead to bolster our care network and expand our scope of services in the community.”
