“Think about the ingenuity, the creativity of these people,” said de Blasio. “They took this armory. They turned it into a food distribution center … This army of licensed yellow cab drivers, green cab driver, Uber drivers, Lyft drivers … now they are delivering to homes, to the apartments, of people who need food the most — seniors, folks who are disabled, folks who have no other way to get food.”
