NFL kicks off 2020 season amid COVID-19, national protests

The NFL returns Thursday with new protocols for team safety amid the coronavirus pandemic, which will change the way the game is played and how it’s seen at home. At the same time, the league is launching during unprecedented national calls for racial justice and police reform and is apologizing for its treatment of players who peacefully protested in the past.
