In the video, Yao encounters Freeman, who is bloodied from a head wound and claims to not know his own identity and holding a piece of broken furniture. At one point Freeman jumps out of a window and threatens to kill Yao. After he charges at Yao multiple times, and the officer repeatedly yells at him to back up, Yao shoots Freeman after the man’s last charge.
