Sources at People report the 57-year-old designer has been separated from other inmates as a precaution amid a coronavirus outbreak within the prison, as hundreds of cases have been confirmed at the facility.

While sources claim the move was not a punishment, Giannulli’s son Gianni said on Instagram that his father “has been locked in solitary confinement for one full month” and has been “only let out every 3 days for a few moments to shower,” according to a screenshot captured by ABC News.

A source at People claims, however, that Giannulli is out of his cell one hour a day, per prison protocol.

The father turned himself in last month, and will be required to pay a $250,000 fine and perform 250 hours of community service.

Giannulli pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit wire and mail fraud and honest services wire and mail fraud, while wife Lori Loughlin, 56, pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit wire and mail fraud.
