Shorenstein, a major real estate developer and investor, has bought two office buildings and a large surface parking lot in America Center, a prominent tech hub perched in San Jose’s Alviso district.
The two buildings, located at 6001 and 6201 America Center Drive in San Jose, were bought by Shorenstein for $235 million, according to documents filed Aug. 24 at the Santa Clara County Recorder’s Office.
Versa Networks and AppZen are among the tenants in the two buildings.
An adjacent surface parking lot was also part of the transaction, the county documents show.
Shorenstein also obtained a loan totaling $179.3 million from an affiliate controlled by Blackstone Mortgage Trust to help finance the purchase, according to the property records.
