A 23-year-old man was fatally shot after a domestic-related incident inside a home Wednesday morning in Garfield Ridge on the Southwest Side, according to preliminary information from Chicago police.
About 1:50 a.m., the man got into a “physical altercation,” with a homeowner in the 5600 block of South Nottingham Avenue, and was fatally shot, police said. The incident involves an off-duty Chicago police officer.
The circumstances of the shooting are being investigated, but it is believed to be domestic-related, police said.
