Some brag about over-
buying; some have none
Re: “Coronavirus: California shoppers, please stop over-buying. There’s enough to go around” (Mercurynews.com, March 16):
Wow, this is a clear demonstration of how greedy and inconsiderate we have become as a society.
Have we considered other families, who cannot afford to stock up on food and supplies? How about families that are living day-to-day trying to stay afloat paying rent and bills?
It saddens me to see that everyone is just out for themselves, and does not see that we are all trying to make it in this time of crisis.
I went to Walmart a week ago and there was no water, detergents or toilet paper left; the racks were completely empty.
To top it all off, people on social media keep showing off all the supplies they have stocked up on, like it is something to brag about.
We should be more conscious of those in our community during this coronavirus crisis and only buy what is necessary.
