Lake Piru, the man-made reservoir in Southern California where “Glee” star Naya Rivera drowned in July, has reopened to the public, but with restrictions, TMZ reported Saturday.

Swimming is now banned at the lake, where there have been eight previous drownings since 1994. More than 12,000 people signed a petition demanding better warnings for swimmers who might not know about debris under the lake surface.

Boating, picnicking and fishing on the lake are still allowed, however, TMZ said.

Rivera, who played Santana Lopez on the musical show, disappeared July 8 after swimming with her 4-year-old son. Her body was found July 13 and the official autopsy lists her cause of death as drowning.

After going swimming, authorities said the 33-year-old fought to save her little boy as their boat drifted — but didn’t have the strength to save herself.

The lake remained closed after officials found her body, in part because of the COVID-19 epidemic.
