How to watch Cubs-Brewers on Opening Day 2020 1

The Cubs and Brewers meet at a Wrigley Field without fans in the stands Friday night to kick off the 2020 season. It’s not quite the Opening Day that anyone envisioned earlier this year, but it’s fair to say baseball fans across Chicago will be happy to tune in on television even if they can’t be there.

The Cubs’ Kyle Hendricks will make his first career Opening Day start facing off against the Brewers’ Brandon Woodruff, who is coming off an All-Star appearance last year. Hendricks beat out Yu Darvish to get the nod from first-year manager David Ross.

In a season with 60 games in 66 day, each one takes on added importance compared to the long haul of a 162-game campaign. How that impacts each team’s approach to each game will be fascinating to watch.

One thing fans won’t get to see Friday night is the debut of FOX’s computer-generated fan technology, which it says will be used starting with Cubs-Brewers on Saturday. So there’s still that to look forward to.
