Illinois has 112 public testing locations, including 22 locations in Chicago, nine in the southwest suburbs, three in the west suburbs, five in the northwest suburbs and 10 in the north suburbs. Pritzker said the COVID-19 tests at these sites are free and open to the public. There are also private health care providers that offer testing to their own patients, he said.
