If you’ve been holding out on getting a COVID-19 vaccination, Casa de Fruta might have a sweet offer to win you over.
Santa Clara County is holding a pop-up vaccination clinic from noon to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 10, at the popular roadside attraction and campground on Pacheco Pass Highway near Hollister. And anyone who gets a vaccine shot also gets a free scoop of Marianne’s ice cream, provided by the candy shop Casa de Sweet.
Casa de Fruta owner Gene Zanger said he hopes they give away a lot of ice cream on Tuesday. “We are happy to offer COVID vaccines through public health so that our guests can do their part to help protect themselves and those they care about,” he said.
