The WHO on Monday added “mu,” first identified in Colombia last January as B.1.621, to its “variant of interest” list for its “constellation of mutations that indicate potential properties of immune escape,” the international body said in its weekly epidemiological update on the coronavirus pandemic after detecting it in 39 countries.
