The San Francisco Giants reportedly have closed their spring training facility Friday  in Scottsdale, Arizona, after someone who visited the complex recently developed mild coronavirus symptoms, according to reports in The Athletic and USA Today.

President of baseball operations Farhan Zaidi told The Athletic the individual and a family member have exhibited symptoms of the virus, and are awaiting test results. Several other individuals who have been using the facility were subsequently tested for the virus and are also awaiting results. It is unclear whether the visitor was a player or staff member.

The Giants reopened the facility to players for informal workouts last month.

Elsewhere in the MLB, the Philadelphia Phillies closed their Clearwater, Florida, facility after five players and three staff members were confirmed to have COVID-19 Friday. The Toronto Blue Jays also shut down their Dunedin, Florida, facility after a pitcher exhibited symptoms.
