“I know we’ve done really great work first and foremost doing everything we could from the minute that the pandemic hit our shores to make sure we are saving people’s lives. No easy decisions, not one, but I’m proud of the work we’ve done in partnership with a lot of different organizations and individuals across the city,” Lightfoot said. “The reality is, I’m the mayor. I’m the target, people are unhappy, people are angry, and criticism comes with the job. But what I do is I make sure I live my values every single day.”
