7-Eleven is the latest company to announce a hiring spree during the coronavirus outbreak to meet increased demand. Previously, Amazon said it was hiring 100,000 new workers, including delivery drivers. A number of states, including Minnesota and Vermont, have begun classifying similar workers as emergency workers, making them eligible for benefits like free childcare.
