Can you get the coronavirus from a cat or a dog?

There have been reports of coronavirueses originating from animals, and there is a theory that the novel Coronavirus that is currently spreading throughout the human population originated from a bat, experts are unclear at this point if this Coronavirus / COVID-19 has infected animals. So far there has been no reports of transmission from our domestic pets to humans in the US.
