In the 1990s, Etters was busy painting 10 to 15 murals a year, for $3,500 a piece or more. He was well known in the Naperville area, painting at Naperville North and Central high schools and Waubonsie Valley High School and Wheaton-Warrenville South, as well as Maine West, Fenton, and at many other schools.
Timm Etters, who overcame many challenges — including colorblindness — to become prolific muralist, dies. His work adorned many schools.
