“Yes, there are X amount of recoveries, but that doesn’t mean those people are jumping out of bed, and it’s still a process,” Mariel Boden said. “I’m very, very happy that my parents are alive, and I think that’s because of the amazing care they got at the hospital, not just the doctors and nurses, but the respiratory therapists, the janitors who clean the hallways, the person who brings in food for patients. … These are the unsung heroes.”
